The rooms were new-fashioned and fashionable with blackout blinds, the airy, as for instance, no complaint. A wide range of fine food, we enjoyed it.

Loved Penrith, the hotel was beautifully maintained and pretty in a lovely private garden with plenty of outdoor seating.
The bathroom was a bit cramped, I didn't like it.

The location of the hotel is particularly good, near the lovely well tended, mature gardens of the house and the more tourist areas of the Lake District. Plus, it is just a pleasant stroll away from Church of st Cuthbert.

Oscar
The room was excellent sized and stocked with pleasant views, the airy and comfortable seating other than on the bed. The location was excellent - walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel itself was in a local area.
The bed was a bit too soft.

We had a wonderful stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable with lovely seating and a beautiful bay window offering a great view. The top-quality pub just a few minutes' walk away had a fantastic menu, although slightly pricey, the food was absolutely delicious. We were delighted that our furry friends were welcome, with a small extra charge. The breakfast served by the owner was superb - it was home-cooked with high-quality ingredients and served to our table. Cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, and a hot pot of tea made for a delightful start to the day. The owner, Pru, was incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. We were even offered the kind gesture of having our two dogs looked after while we went out for dinner. The beautiful surrounding area offered fantastic walks and we will definitely be returning here in the future.
Families will find this place perfect for their stay - highly recommended.
