The staff was extremely friendly and amicable at this place. Its location was marvellous and perfect, close to Birmingham Shops, Birmingham, Michigan, and Michigan. Spent our evenings in nearby Tallulah enjoying drinks and atmosphere.

Went to dinner at Flemings in Birmingham. Had a wonderful breakfast at The Townsend. Great waiter.Used the excercise room. Wonderful room . Great service!!! Walked around Birmingham. Awesome 32ndanniversary treat.

The scallops that we ordered for dinner at the Rugby grill were very good but also not hot when served.

Attended a wedding held at the Townsend - appetizers, dinner etc were excellent as well as the wait staff. My room was lovely and appreciated that the gym was open 24 hours. One surprise was that the tub was higher than normal bathroom tubs in homes and I banged my knee but it was my fault.

Staying here was an incredible experience! The building is a charmingly restored palace that really gave a sense of luxury. I loved the location, as it was in the heart of the area I stay in, making it easy to get to everything from the restaurant down to the center of town. The room itself was extremely comfortable, with an excellent air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and an amazing down duvet. The staff were wonderful and provided great service, and the turn down service each evening was an added touch of elegance.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.
