Had really really nice experience, overall original place.
The setting of hotel was perfect, local to town & beach. Moreover, it was close enough to Salcombe, and the harbour and most of the bars cafes and restaurants of which there is an abundance of.

As backpackers, we loved the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at The Hillcroft. Martin and Elaine, the owners, were attentive and had great recommendations for places to visit. The room was cozy and had everything we needed with complimentary tea, coffee, water, and biscuits. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we had a restful sleep. The bathroom had ample towels and provided shampoo and body wash. The breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked, and accompanied by fantastic coffee. it was a perfect stay with all the necessary amenities and warm hospitality.
Visiting The Hillcroft felt like staying with family, and we couldn't have asked for more. No complaints whatsoever.

The owners of the hotel were extremely welcoming and friendly. Very keen to recommend things to do and nice places to eat. Also, the hotel was located within easy reach of everything and a taxi to the harbour was only £3, bargain
