I recently stayed at The Clarendon in Bantry Bay for a weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. We were welcomed with a penthouse suite, a platter of fresh fruit, and a bottle of champagne. Throughout our stay, the staff was incredibly attentive, offering us tea, coffee, and delicious snacks. The hotel had stunning views, well-maintained facilities, and a great breakfast menu with refreshing smoothies. I can't wait to return in January!
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Just unbelievable! A wow experience. Never has such pampering, fantastic staff, food and rooms ever! Oceanviews all around and not to be missed! Already booked our next visit! Brenda Roodbol [Pretoria, Gauteng, sa]
We liked everything that was offered: bedroom, linen, beds, view, balcony, wireless, food, reception, order, ambiance, interior... The location was the best decision ever since we did day-trips. Some of them was organized for us by the staff/reception and tickets to I.E. Table Mountain and Robben Island provided to which we paid on departure only. Taxi service on time every time!

We loved the comfort and ambiance of this hotel. Cleanliness was excellent, and the staff provided friendly service throughout our stay. They even arranged to deliver breakfast to our room. Best of all, their 24-hour parking security gave us peace of mind.

Helpful and attentive staff. Modern fittings and furnishings. Spotless cleanliness throughout. Spacious shower and bathroom. Stunning views from breakfast balcony.
Despite booking a "superior double room with sea view" we were allocated a room on the ground floor overlooking the garden and pool, with a view of the back wall and neighbouring houses. The staff moved us upstairs for 1 night - where the views are indeed stunning - but we were moved downstairs again for our second night. Misleadingly, the website shows pictures only from the upstairs rooms. For this reason, we did not feel we got good value for money.

This hotel truly offered an exclusive and luxurious experience. The spa center was outstanding with a fantastic full body massage and beauty treatment. The outdoor swimming pool was exceptional with picturesque sun loungers on the spacious sun terrace. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Also, the location was a plus point as it was in proximity to restaurants and shops.
One minor issue was the inconsistency of the service provided. At times, I felt that my needs were not fully met.

Amazing Guest House with thrilling views. An outstanding friendly and warmhearted team (Shelly, Noel, Annabelle and everybody else). A breakfast experience with an unique view. We had a private dinner at the lounge level, surely one thing we will never forget. Thank you, Clarendon Team.
Nothing ;-) But: next time we will book a room with a private balcony at the clarendon, the rooms at the pool deck (and the rooms with no sea view, too) provide only a limited privacy, which might be disturbing a little bit. Since everyone is so friendly, this is no big thing. Internet Speed can definitely be improved. But this place is about relaxation and slowing down, not about work ;-)

My recent city trip was fabulous! Two complementary facts stood out, the afternoon tea and biscuits were delicious and the turn down service was lovely. The hotel was in a great location, with stunning sea views from the balcony. the staff were friendly, efficient and really went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable.
There were a few negative aspects during my stay, including some mold in the shower which was a bit of a disappointment. I experienced some inconvenience when one guest parked behind me and denied it twice telephonically, taking a long time to move their car.

The hotel offers great value for money with reasonable prices for such a high-end residential area near the sea. The staff are attentive and the rooms are comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast served is excellent, setting you up for a day of exploring the nearby V&A Waterfront with its abundance of restaurants.
All was perfect.

Attentive staff, excellent service. Beautiful view. Tasteful decor. Large suites and bathrooms. Special touches for wedding. Complimentary refreshments
Nothing to fault.
