Swinton Park was pure luxury and the most beautiful surroundings! we had an amazing stay and would recommend the hotel highly. We look forward to going back there!

The location is very good surrounded by countryside. The extra touches like complimentary drinks in your room makes a big difference.Excellent all round service.

There was nothing I did not like about the hotel but I am sure that if there had have been the staff were so attentive that it would have been very quickly rectified.

Excellent staff. Lovely room. Beautiful location

Dinner was poor. Service poor. Quantity abysmal, Quality fine. Don't waste the £!

This is sheer luxury and everything has been thought of to offer its clients the best that could be. The private spa is the ultimate relaxation, the rooms exquisite and the cuisine one of the best. Can't wait to return.

Nothing...would have liked to stay longer

Welcoming atmosphere and courteous staff at reception, in lounge areas,in bar and in restaurant. Food selection, presentation and flavour all excellent. Design and decor of interior of Swinton Park of a high standard. Gardens, parkland and lakes well maintained and provided a relaxing atmosphere during our walks outside. Nothing of too much trouble to the staff when attending to my parties needs.

At 19.00 hours on Friday 2nd April my wife and I wanted a shower / bath before joining our colleagues for an evening meal in the restaurant. No hot or warm water available for the next 45 minutes. Reception told me at 19.15 hours that hot water should be available before 19.30 hours. We were meeting out friends for a drink in the bar at 20.00 hours prior to our meal. I had arranged this visit to Swinton Park to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. This inability to relax and refresh ourselves before changing for dinner spoilt what was otherwise an excellent stay. I have travelled all over the world both for business and for pleasure and this is the first occasion where I have stayed in a luxury hotel and had to wash in cold water.

I loved everything about Swinton Park. Great staff, beautiful and comfortable room, and gorgeous setting. Loved it!

From the moment we stepped out of the car, the staff made us feel totally at ease and cared for. Nothing was too much trouble. The elegant surroundings and the beautiful grounds gave us a much needed rest. We had a wonderful afternoon tea outside when we arrived and a very good wine appreciation lunch the following day where we were made very welcome and at ease even though we knew very little about about wine and its production. A big thank you to all your staff for making it a very special weekend.

What can I say, we had a wonderful time!

The hotel was pure luxury. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was out of this world. Our room had everything you could possibly want from a hotel room.. With more besides.. Beautiful. We paid extra for the birds of prey experience, where my husband flew a Harris hawk around the hotel grounds for an hour, this was a fantastic experience and would recommend anyone to do it. The hotel is set in the most picturesque grounds and is wonderful just to walk around ... I could go on all day about our trip... It was brilliant. Highly recommended .

The room was fabulous - comfortable but with a touch of class and luxury without losing the homeliness! The staff were so friendly and attentive and the dining was in an amazing setting with attention to detail in presentation which complemented the excellent food perfectly. My husband took part in the cookery school which was also amazing. We loved it and will be going back.

Chef's Dining Table experience and Spa facilities.

We were just staying overnight but enjoyed a walk in the extensive and very pretty grounds, both on the day we arrived and the following morning. The house is amazing and steeped in history.

Not a complaint but a disappointment - the restaurant was one of the main attractions as it was a birthday treat, however the evening menu was so sparce and uninteresting that neither of us fancied it. So we ate in the bar instead. Again not a lot of choice but enjoyed what we had and the service and attention we received was excellent.

    • Family with children
      10.0

Beautiful surroundings, excellent food, good friendly service, large rooms. This hotel manages to be high end and luxurious but also copes well with small children.

The overall very good quality experience was let down slightly by the slow and unattentive service when dining in the bar.

    • Older travelers
      10.0

Staff and services are very good and polite. Wonderful setting. Very good food. Very good sauna.

Nothign really. The shower at the bathroom could be a little better. It is still 9 out of 10.

    • Older travelers
      8.8

Peace and quiet, friendly polite staff. Beautiful surroundings. Good breakfast.

Bar Menu and drinks overpriced. Quantity of food was small but quality very good.
