The staff were very friendly and the internet connection was good. The location was ideal for me as I was driving and wanted to stay near the main routes to both the airport and for Porto. To be fair, I was happy with what I got regardless of what I will answer in the next box.
The room was old and tired. My room was a non-smoking one but there room has a permanent smell of old smoke. The water system would wake the dead and toilet paper would have beena bonus! A more substantial Breakfast offering would have been helpful.

Hotel Santa Lucia is economical, clean, quiet and the staff is helpful. It is close to everything; a bus to the city stops right outside the door. We enjoyed staying just outside the city with easy access to highways for touring the region by car.

The staff is very friendly. It is a good hotel. International tv channels. Bus P3 from the Plaza Galicia in the centre of Santiago stops in front of the hotel.

Good idea to stay not in the city centre but in close outskirts easily accessible by bus. Nice hotel (inn?) - good for families, tourist groups and solo / couples. Free parking. Good access to any place from the road, close to important crossings and interchanges of the highways.

the breakfast was the worst I have ever had in any hotel in the world. The staff were rude, the location was terrible.

close to the highway, parking in front, friendly staff. We had no trouble finding it using the crossroads close to the hotel in the satnav.
Even though we had a 'do not disturb' sign out, the lady went ahead and cleaned the room anyway while we were out running an errand. Fairly dated furnishings, carpet could do with a thorough cleaning.

The convenience of the location with car parking.
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to refurbishment and the only evening meal available was in the cafeteria. We had booked dinner, bed and breakfast so were committed to eating at the hotel. (Its location was too far out of the city to make eating there viable ). The menu in the cafeteria was very limited and we were eating there three nights.

Good price and great room, after a pilgrim jorney it was a perfect place to rest your feets. For Santiago city center you can take an 1€ bus at half an hour distance.
Bath room without soap and a non functioning hairdryer

The hotel was comfortable and very reasonably priced, with free parking. Bus stop right outside the hotel so you can the P3 bus for €1 into Santiago in case you want to leave your car at the hotel and enjoy a few glasses of Albariño as you wonder round the city.
You are about 1 hour on foot from the centre of Santiago, and it's not a nice walk (highways and big roundabouts) There is at most one bus per hour, sometimes 2 hours between buses, so the money I thought I was saving on parking had to be spent on a taxi back to the hotel when I found that the next bus was in 1 hour and 45 minutes. That's not the hotel's fault, but just so you know in case you're planning on leaving the car at the hotel so you can enjoy a few glasses of Albariño as you wonder round the city.

bedrooms spotless and made up very well each day would give the bedrooms 10 out of 10 we had a problem with the location of one bedroom being too near the lift and kept awake with it at night but when we asked they moved us to another room straight away
bar service very poor, and no dining room just bar food which was only served from 8 to 10.30 in the evenings. This meant we had to go out to eat all the time

Friendly staff, good service, good value for money. For less then 30 eur the room had a bathroom with bath tub, a small tv and wireless internet included.
Santa Lucia is some 20 minutes by bus from Santiago center. Unfortunately busses go approx. Once an hour. The WiFi collapsed at peak times due to many users.

Great value for money, I got a double room instead of a single.
Hotel is far away from the city centre, but still noisy- there's a highway that passes by it. The overworked receptionist is also the bartender, so you sometimes have to wait for half an hour for a cup of coffee. Not an issue if there had been other cafes in the area, but there aren't.
