Basically everything was fine. I was more than satisfied with the room & the facilities within the hotel

Only grief was the time I waited for room service - it approached an hour form ordering via reception to meal being delivered to room.

We have stayed at the Parkway many times before and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming and try hard to please. The pool and spa area had started to get rather tired but on this occasion had obviously been spruced up and was clean and pleasant to use. The breakfast also was excellent and we were glad to see that they have replaced the horrible tea machine with proper tea and coffee pots.

The food in the restaurant is not as good as it used to be - we used to make a point of eating in the hotel but the price has gone up as the quality has gone down. We ate in the restaurant on a Friday night and it was almost empty which speaks for itself. There used to be a 2 courses for £12 deal and the food was freshly cooked and of a high quality. Now you pay well over that for a main course which quite honestly seemed as though it had just been freshly micro-waved! Though we will stay at the hotel again, we will not be having an evening meal in the restaurant.

Staff were absolutley lovely- short walk to Golden Acre Park- so nice for an evening stroll to unwind, great leisure facilities- loved the pool

no lift to the studio I was in- bit difficult to get my luggage up- they did offer to help but the young lady behind reception was even smaller than me so I declined the offer. Decor was a bit dated, but still very comfy room. WIFI in hotel was free in shared areas- however my connection dropped out so much I had to leave early and work at a differenct hotel location- which was a shame. Other guests also complained about this whilst I was there

The staff were very nice and helpful and the bar and restaurant were fine too.

Just feel the hotel is a bit dated and in need of modernisation. I also felt the chiildrens pool was dirty.

Location is good, an easy drive from the main Ring Road and not far from the Airport. Spa facilities were excellent. The surrounding area was a Nature reserve with lovely walks for families. Great location for a restful break.

Apart from a little updating needed in some areas, there was little to dislike about this hotel.

Very friendly, helpful staff, excellent food, clean comfortable rooms.

The spa and pool area is overdue for a refurbishment

I can't decide between the greasy floor in the Bathroom or the dirty curtains. The general state of disrepair was very quaint though and the dysfunctional shower was a source of great amusement.

The general smell of the part of the hotel we were put up in wasn't to our liking, I suppose the smell of dead cats is an acquired taste.

Good location for our purposes, good layout, nice and roomy hotel, friendly staff

Smoke alarm went off twice in middle of night, 4.00am and 5.30 am, should have room cleansing charge for smokers, hotel in Chester has £150 per day room cleansing if smokers smoke in room. No apology offered for inconvenience.

      the leisure facilties were great

The staff were too busy with events other guests where neglected. I had to wait ages for someone to come to the bar to order food and then had to chase up one of the three meals ordered, again i had to chase my daughters dessert. Air con in the rooms i thought would be as standard.

Room clean, bed comfortable, Staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful. Food very well cooked and presented, (though a bit pricey, bottles of beer very pricey £4.20 each, same price in bar). Nice grounds, lovely area, Golden Acre Park just down the road, Bus stop just outside the hotel, went into Leeds, 22 mins away. Check out is 12 noon, so you can have a lazy morning.

The room we had overlooked the outside seating (smoking) area, could get very noisy, also there were wedding receptions on Friday and Saturday nights, disco quite noisy, did finish about midnight though. I should have asked for a quiet room (hindsight is a wonderful thing). Pool good. Sunday 9am had swimming lessons for children, Pool reception did not warn me about this, when I went for a swim at 8.45am. I feel he should have. No towels available, you have to remember to take the room towel and £1 to get a locker key, no swimsuit spindrier either, there are plastic bags to put the wet kit in though, good thing.
