Editorial review:

This chic hotel used to be a Greek Orthodox church. It's within walking distance of all the main attractions of the city. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are fashionable, but some of them are extremely small. The rooms have anything you could want and amazing showers. Fans say it's worth the money. The Champagne Bar and Brasserie is highly recommended.

Previous experience of using Malmaison around the world has in general been excellent but the Glasgow experience was not.

Can't answer the question as Malmaison policy is not to use the review as a complaints forum. Will not use the Glasgow Malmaison again is the polite message here.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms really nicely equiped and good choice in mini bar plus snacks and toiletries. Great shower. Breakfast was AMAZING!!! Would stay again anytime!!!

Being really picky but dust at bottom of mirror and on behind phone at bedside table. Rest of room really clean though!

Central location but quiet - and very comfortable.

Rooms and breakfast area perhaps a bit dark, decoration-wise.

      • Older travelers
        8.8

The staff were friendly and helpful.

The booking agents failed to advice the hotel that the booking rate included breakfast.

      • Older travelers

the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, along with the helpfullness of al the staff

      • Older travelers
        7.8

The fixtures and fittings in the room were of an excellent quality and they lent an understated luxury to the stay.

The hotel corridors and the room itself had particularly creaking floorboards.

        10.0

        Personnel, food and hotel excellent

      • Group of friends
        9.6

I liked the general ambience: the rooms are good quality and the breakfast excellent. The staff are very friendly too.

The only thing I wasn't keen on was the bar and snacks in the room which were very tempting but over priced.

      • Single
        7.4

The room was well designed, comfortable and quite stylish. The staff at reception were very helpful and pleasant

The service at breakfast was very slow and casual. I had to ask for coffee several times and waited 15 minutes to get it. Choice of fruit juice was restricted.

      • Group of friends
        7.8

it was very slick, confortable and the staff were great, very business like. Very confortable bed.

not a complaint but an observation - the decor is very masculine and lighting not very good in the bedroom/bathroon

      • Older travelers
        5.0

The exclusive look of the place, the decor is sumptuos. We ate in the brasserie and the food was lovely.

We had th smallest, noisiest room we've ever had in an hotel and the fittings were beginning to look a bit shabby. The quality of the staff was mixed. some were friendly and helpfull, some were patronising and truculent.

      • Older travelers
        9.2

the ambience of restaurant/bar and the bedroom all combine to a design exoerience

the lighting in the first room where the hall of the bedroom was lit if the bedlights were on.so bad that we transferred rooms

      • Older travelers
        6.2

Deep hot bath. Excellent shower. Unusual choice of hot breakfasts.

The room was rather dark and the light very poor for putting on make-up.
