The room was spacious and located within walking distance to Hereford.

I like staying at grettisgata aprt. It's a homely type apartment, location is excellent peace and quiet area, walking distance to town just 2minutes away from Laugavegur st. Or evething you need just right there. I am planning of going back to Iceland next year I will stay there again.

There is one little thing I didn't like: sink in the bathroom/tap for cold water was faulty.

Situated easy walk to hallgrimskirkja. You won’t be disappointed if you eat at Kaktus Espressobar, which is so close to the apartment. Situated in an unbeatable spot. We enjoyed our stay.

The apartment is conveniently located close to Hallgrimskirkja, shops, a supermarket, as well as a variety of restaurants and bars.

The laundry room and small kitchen was a really good value for a family.

The room was cold and drowsy, because it was on the ground level.

It was very noisy : you can hear your neighbour of the right side as if he was in your room and your neighbour of the second floor walking on your head, and also the noise of the street. No cold water in the bathroom (and hot water was very hot) You never see no one at the reception. It is too expensive for a very poor service!!

Location was good. Quiet area.

It was not a manned operation. Everything was done through telephone. It was not cleaned at all during our stay (5 days). On the third day, when returning home, we found a cardboard box with new towels and breakfast outside our door, on the ground.

Best possible location. (15mins walk from the BSI busstation and harbour, 1min walk from laugavegur the main shopping street. Clean contemporary desing of the room and internet access were the most enjoyable facts. The breakfast provided every 2nd day is more than enough for light lunches or takeaways for daytrips.

Note: Flybus service does not have pickup for this hotel, which is only a minor detail since the busstation is well in walking distance even with loads of baggage.

Great apartments, great location, comfort and style. Breakfast is in the fridge very cool, easy acess to everything. Who needs room service when you have everything you need in the room, I reccomend this place to everyone who are after a hazzle free vacation, and if you need some information you can always call the staff and they are happy to help. Thumbs up!

Reykjavik is a hard place to get a good deal, and it's even harder not to "feel like a tourist". Staying at the 101 Apartments goes a long way in both regards. It's clean, no-nonsense and practical - and access to fridge/stove/micro/laundry helps save even more money. If you don't need the frills of a standard hotel, and like to travel without feeling touristy, I highly recommend it.

Near to the city

Dirty windows, dirty floor, dirty sink and much noise from other rooms

My family and I stayed in a very nice, clean, fully furnished one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen that had everything for cooking and preparing meals. The apartment was close to the downtown shopping district, gift and food stores, restaurants, sightseeing, transportation and the water. Grettisgata Apartments also had clothes washer/drier, Internet hookups, iron and ironing board etc. The staff was very friendly and I highly recommend Grettisgata Apartments for a few day or a week stay, the price was right and they had every thing that we needed. P.S. They did their very best at helping out my family members that have disabilities by getting us an apartment on a first floor with no stairs and with a ramp! They did not have an apartment like this one when we booked our vacation and when we arrived we had this nice surprise at not having to struggle with stairs! I really think that they went all out for us!

The television stations were few, but I did not ask if this was the norm or if it needed adjustment because there was plenty to do in Reykjavk and in Iceland to keep us very busy.

Location, quiet street (if your room does not face the street) well equipped kitchenette.

We had to wait for the room to be cleaned to check in - well after check- in time. Staff showed up around 2 - friendly though Try not to book on the ground floor. It's gets noisy often.

Location was good for most of the city.Room furnishings were fine. A few English tv stations were good for the news.

Our bathroom had an unpleasant smell to it; we actually brought some spray cleaner to use on it. The laundry was being used by the staff so that was a big delay - and the dryer took forever.

It was in a nice location off the main street, note that it is not downtown near the noise of the night life. A perfect little get away. Interesting set-up for for self check-in and check-out. I never did meet any staff.
