Incredibly friendly place. Very very good breakfast on the mixed grill and with lovely staff. Location adjacent to a taxi from cark, another Engine Inn in Cark and city life.

This hotel met requests, we would definitely recommend to all. We came here with our 2 young children. The location in a lovely area was perfect and lovely and there were supermarkets and shops nearby.

Overall had SUCH WONDERFUL stay over that night. The rooms themselves where spotless with fireplaces. Location: the hotel was close enough to South Furness peninsula, and another Engine Inn in Cark. It also was to the pub round the corner.

The location next to a picturesque bridge adds to its charm. The staff are friendly, helpful, and go above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. Overall it was a very good stay over that night. The staff were helpful and decent. Location: the hotel was adjacent to the Lake District, Lancaster and another pub nearby, the Rose and Crown further up the hill where the contrast was incredible. Also, it was 5 minutes drive to Holker Hall and Gardens. The food was fab and the location was absolutely perfect.

Had a fantastic New Year's stay in a cozy pub in a lovely village with great food and drinks. The en-suite room was excellent and couldn't fault it in any way. The staff, especially Jack, were extremely friendly and helpful. The pub had a good selection of beers and lagers, and the meals were delicious. The breakfast was also excellent, with everything you could ask for.
The pub and the surrounding area seemed a bit unloved and in need of attention. The atmosphere was a bit quiet during our stay, and the barmaid announced an early closure one night.
