Easy walk to attractions, including sultanahmet district. There were a minaret and a mosque right close to the hotel. We totally recommend this property. 25 minutes on foot from the Sultanahmet Tram train station...

The staff were really friendly and helpful and always welcoming. The staff were exceptional is providing airport transfers to allow us to meet loved ones arriving at the airport during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was always fresh and plentiful and we were often asked if there was anything special we would like, if it was not already provided. The rooms were always exceptionally cleaned daily and the rooms were light and airy (the air con was fabulous as the days turned from warm to hot). Wifi was never a problem. Fantastic and we would recommend Aura Apart to anyway looking to stay close to Sultanahmet - literally 2 blocks (easy wall) from the Blue Mosque.

Staff were very friendly and supportive. The location is also great. The terrace location for breakfast is very good.
There is no common water tank in the hotel, so we lost the water supply for a day when water is cut by the city to do a repair some where. The staff did their best in providing water supply in containers.

The room was clean, the bed was ok, and the shower and toilet were clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. The brochure rack provided a detailed map for free, so no need to purchase one if you know where this hotel is.
The hotel was very difficult to find. The street is not visible on every map and even the locals didn't seem to know where it is. We spent nearly two hours searching the place. To make things more difficult, there was no sign in the hotel's front entrance. A sign later appeared though. Location is not the best possible, the residential houses are in very poor condition and there is somewhat of climb back to the restaurant area of sultanahmet. Only takes about 5 minutes, but there is better value to be found in the area.

We stayed at Aura in May 2011, and the facilities were new (just renovated in April). The apartment style with kitchen was great since there was a supermarket nearby, and we were able to cook dinner and eat on the upstair terrace. Great money-saver since the restaurants can be a bit pricey (for a grad-student). The room was always amazingly clean, and the staff spoke english and was very helpful. The free shuttle from the airport was also a great bonus.
Our party consisted of 3 people, and we booked the 2-bed and sofa-bed room. The sofa-bed was a narrower than a twin-sized bed; it is not a sofa-bed that pulls out. If you are smaller, this is not a problem though.

Brand new, refurbished
It seems stuff is rather unpofessional, high humidity inside rooms - may be because of refurbishment works but still unpleasant

All rooms where renovated completely just before our arrival and the staff did a good job to fix the last details so every day when we came home they had improved minor details. The staff were very friendly everything got nicely cleaned every day. There hotel is in a nice location very close to all turist attractions and with some nice not to expensive restaurants and grosery shops close by. We got two rooms and one had a small balkony which where very usefull. They where close to finish a new balcony on the top floor which had a better view to the sea,
In the rooms towards the sea you have nice small balkonies but between 7.00 and 24.00 there are trains parsing just under the vindows every 30 minuts. If you dont have the windows closed its rather noicy.but you get used to it.

The location is excellent- in 10 minutes you are close to Aya Sophia. The apartments are newly refurbished, spacious, cleaned. They have a small chicinette and a small balcony from where you can see the ships in the morning. Breakfast is good. They have an excellent staff prepared to accomplish whatever you need during your staying transfer, information about city tours, special request for breakfast.
