The Arte Apartment House is very comfortable. The spacious rooms are very nicely designed and cleaned. A 24h supermarket with bulgarian and internatinal brands is in walking distance. As well the "Café Paris" for a good breakfast and coffee, which is comfortable when you come to town with an evening flight.

The surprise of how lovely the unit was - spacious rooms beds very comfortable clean and the door men were very very helpful even though they could not speak a scrap of English.
The only thing I would ask for is a for a frying pan and smaller pots as it was difficult to make breakfast. While food is cheap in Sophia it is hard to find breakfast food early in the morning and especially on weekends.

The apartment was quite big (large rooms). The living room offered everything you needed and all equipment looked rather new. The apartment really turned out to be exactly as shown on the pictures of Booked.net: clean, quite new and spacious.
The doorkeeper downstairs doesn't speak a single word of English, which makes it quite hard to communicate if you don't speak Bulgarian. However, in case it was really needed, he phoned the Hotel (to which this apartment block belongs) and we could talk to the reception there.

New apartment hotel and very clean. The apartment house was huge with 2 bedrooms and a new kitchen. City center about 800m from the hotel = good location but not in the best road. We would recomend this apartment for families or two couples who dont mind to living together in a huge apartment.
Problems to find parking place. Our car has been towed away because we couldnt read the bugarian parking restriction orders (our fault).

Size of rooms, apts are brand new & spotless
The location seemed a bit dodgy, Levski nazi signs painted on walls of surrounding buildings

The apartment is spacious, modern and pleasant, and everything is new and clean. Kitchen and toilet facilities are great. There is a tv with more channels than you can practically imagine.
There is no air-conditioning. The location is not fit for someone who visits Sofia for the first time. The city center is not far, but not exactly close by foot, especially after a long walk around town. It is impossible to communicate even basic things with the security guards, unless they call the Arte hotel receptionist.

Very roomy and bright. Comfortable; good to have two toilets
Would have been difficult to find if hadn't arranged pick up from airport but is actually close to centre. Communication with staff difficult as they didn't understand any English and we spoke no Bulgarian. Can phone Arte Hotel reception from appartment to make enquiries (very little English spoken) but on the whole felt out on a limb. Would have been difficult if hadn't had a good guide book.

The apartments are modern, spacious, well furnished, good toilet and bathroom facilities and spotlessly clean on arrival. Kitchen appliances are all modern and function well. On complaining about a faulty coffee maker it was immediately replaced with a new one. Although the neighbourhood is not inviting, the block of apartments is nice and feels safe. There is a security/receptionist on 24 hr basis who do their best to be helpful despite the language barrier. The walk from the apartments to the town centre is easy going and acceptable so long as you are aware of the distance and know the shortest route in advance (It is imperative to have a map of the town centre). Access to internet is an asset and the TV screens many channels, some of them in English. The apartment is very good value for money.
It is situated in a side street that is unkempt and contains several rubbish bins at each corner. The view from the balcony is a sight to be forgotten as it overlooks houses in a dilapidated state that are more akin to slums. Other houses are either in a state of falling down or already on the point of being pulled down. The first impression is 'where on earth have I come to!' Considering that it was a self-catering apartment, it could have had more basic amenities. For example, exactly four items of cutlery, mugs, glasses, etc were available. Although a coffee maker was provided, there was no toaster. There was only a frying pan and one other very large pot. A few smaller pots and pans would have come in handy. The drain of the shower tray was blocked. The duty security cum receptionists do not understand English so gesticulating and contacting the parent hotel is a daily necessity if something crop up.
